The Most Important Election of My Lifetime

It is the day before Halloween. The day before my brother was born 45 years ago.

My heart goes to the excited place of "hosting our annual firepit in the driveway for all the trick or treaters and with our neighbors." And it also goes to the negative stuff, or the sad stuff:

My dad died on All Saints Day, Nov 1.

Our good friend died a few months later, of a terrible, brain-eating disease that took her so young.

And, well, it's Oct 30, 2024. Need I say more?

Never before have we as a nation faced a more important election than the one before us now. God help us if that felon becomes our next president, but, I'm firmly rooted in my deep belief that Kamala Harris will prevail and, literally, save us all and our country.

May God Bless America.

And may the next week pass as peacefully, quickly, and decisively as possible, because I am at my wit's end with all this ridiculousness. My nerves can't handle this.
